Burnout is not just doing too much. It is doing too much of the wrong kind of thing for your design, for too long, while overriding the signals your body keeps sending. Human Design is unusually good at explaining why you burned out and how to not do it again.
Your not-self theme is the clue
The clearest signal is your type's not-self theme, the emotion that flags you are running against your design.
- Generators and Manifesting Generators feel frustration. The pattern: forcing work that does not light you up, or initiating instead of responding.
- Projectors feel bitterness. The most burnout-prone type, because they are not built for constant output and the world rewards constant output.
- Manifestors feel anger. Burnout shows up when autonomy is blocked or they are forced into steady grind instead of bursts.
- Reflectors feel disappointment, usually from the wrong environment or rushed decisions.

It is not a better morning routine. Generators need work they can genuinely respond to. Projectors need rest built into the architecture of their life and the patience to wait for the right invitations rather than chase. Manifestors need autonomy and recovery between bursts.
If you are exhausted in a way sleep does not fix, the question is not "how do I push through more efficiently." It is "am I living against my design, and where?" Burnout is often the body forcing the correction the mind kept refusing.
